Delphi
Delphi was inspired by several of my trips: the blue hues from Greece, the reeds and cattails from the lakes in the Berkshire Mountains, and the marbled paper I brought home from Venice.
The base is composed of a wooden disk and a vintage Colony Glass plate. A painted wooden ball is surrounded by brass sheet metal, adhered with the marbled blue paper from Venice. I also cut brass sheet metal to form leaves and reeds. The stem is a brass tube ascending from the base, with a smaller brass tube representing a cattail.
The flower petals are made from beautiful burgundy paper on one side and the special Venetian blue marbled paper on the other. In the center of the flower, I’ve created a tassel from embroidery thread, centered with a metal jewelry finding. The stamen are made of brass wire and lapis beads.
Measuring 20.5” tall and 8” wide

Care Instructions
The papers used are treated for sun protection but I would not recommend full sun.
Dust with a cool hair dryer or clean cloth or paint brush. Don’t use water or cleaning products.
