Dragon
I created Dragon during Chinese New Year. The first layer features red patterned paper, reminiscent of fireworks, adhered to cut brass sheet metal. A second layer of petals, also cut from brass, is painted a vibrant red. Inside the petals are made from gold paper with an Asian motif surrounding a center of fluffy white cotton, crafted from swabs. Drooping white petals made of painted metal hang below the flower, attached by a red wooden ball. A brass tube serves as the stem, with leaves fashioned from brass sheet metal—painted deep green on one side, while the other side reveals the metal’s natural golden shine. Wrapped brass wire spirals around the stem and leaves, adorned with tiny green buds made from malachite beads. The flower is anchored by a vintage glass vase and rests on a repurposed drum cymbal as its base.

Care Instructions
The papers used are treated for sun protection but I would not recommend full sun.
Dust with a cool hair dryer or clean cloth or paint brush. Don’t use water or cleaning products.
